Lincoln University

Named to respect the life and work of President Abraham Lincoln, Lincoln University was established and contracted under the laws of California in 1926. The first college officers were Benjamin Franklin Lickey, president, and Edward J. Silver, VP and instructive director. Lickey with his wife Susan had in 1919 established a law study program in San Francisco for veterans returning after the First World War and other working grown-ups which offered night classes to low maintenance students while he was filling in as the western illustrative of the Law Department of the La Salle Extension University of Chicago which offered degrees through correspondence courses. By 1927 Lincoln University was working on the Arcade Floor of the Phelan Building on Market Street in San Francisco with Colleges of Law and Commerce and a Department of Special Courses and Coaching,[13] offering both day and nighttime classes as a co-instructive organization. A promotion of that year indicated Lincoln University offering school courses in law, business, remote exchange, and business organization and uncommon courses and instructing in bar examination arrangement, promoting, news-casting, and open talking. Accreditation

Lincoln University has been licensed by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) since 1990,[19] at present to honor doctors's, master's, bachelor's, and partner degrees, and expert testaments.
